In addition, we also produce a variety of publications that help to keep the students informed of what’s happening and to bring everyone closer together:
- UPS Website – you’re looking at it!
- The Monograph – free newspaper distributed 6 times a year
- The Pharmakon – our yearbook that’s bursting with memories to last a lifetime
- The Key – a handy directory with contact and other information
- Who’s Who – compilation of each class’s mugshots, distributed to the first year class
- Class listservs – mass emails to classes containing important notices — check often!
Participating in UPS events will earn you UPS points. Although they are sadly not redeemable for money or air miles, if you collect enough you’ll receive awards! Starting from getting a Pharmacy “P” at 70 points, if you work your way up to 350 points there will be a Walton award with your name on it waiting for you, collecting also a plaque and the Dean’s Award along the way.
Well, that fairly sums up the benefits of being a member of the Undergraduate Pharmacy Society in a coconut shell. If you want to learn more, feel free to look through our constitution, which has far more information than you can shake a stick at. | |
